We believe impact is more than just a goal—it’s the story your organisation is waiting to tell. What if you could make every project, initiative, or event a chapter in lasting change?

With #MEET4IMPACT, impact becomes intentional and strategic—a shift from short-term results to lasting, meaningful change. For too long, impact has been an afterthought, overshadowed by temporary gains and numbers. But we are challenging that narrative, inviting you to see the bigger picture—one where your efforts resonate with communities, inspire sustainable practices, and create lasting social value.

#M4I is a small, but mighty agency anchored in our Montréal/ Tiohtià:ke community, where we are engaged in the tourism, events, and social innovation ecosystems. Based at the inspiring MTLab—a lively incubator for tourism and culture—our reach goes far beyond our hometown. With core team members in Montréal and consultants spanning Spain, New Zealand, and the UK, we connect local insights with global perspectives, bringing a world of expertise to every project we take on.

“#MEET4IMPACT is the dream - now a reality - of getting delegates, researchers, locals and authorities to work together to improve the societies in which we live and work.”
- Jacques Blancet, Co-founder and Vice President of #MEET4IMPACT
We work with two key target groups:
1.
Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) or Convention Bureaus at national or local level.

2.
Event organizers directly, most often with international or regional associations.

Each group has the power to amplify the impact of the events they organize, and our methods are tailored to their unique goals and needs.
Vision
To see events as powerful drivers of positive social, economic, and environmental change, contributing significantly to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We envision a world where every event leaves a lasting positive impact, fostering innovation, collaboration, and sustainable livelihoods. By recognizing and enhancing the social value of events, we aim to demonstrate their essential role in driving meaningful change across communities.

Mission

To empower organizations and communities to maximize the positive social impact of their events. Our mission is to help events realize their full potential by providing tools for impact tracking and measurement, thereby showcasing their value to governments, businesses, and civil society. We connect associations with host communities, enhancing their value propositions and promoting collaboration. Through our efforts, we support a sectoral strategy for associations and destinations to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda for Transforming our World.
At #MEET4IMPACT we believe in human-centered values and strategies

Collaboration

Integrity
meaning that we are, individually and collectively, deeply committed to acting on our values and consistently upholding what we value most.
is at the core of everything we do, recognizing the power of collective intelligence in driving meaningful impact

Transparency
guides our actions, as we commit to reporting our progress and sharing the authentic narrative of our journey, while providing a platform for clients and partners to do the same.

Humility
underscores our approach, acknowledging that we do not possess all the answers and embracing collaboration with our clients.
Autonomy
is our aim, as we strive to empower clients and partners with the knowledge and tools to catalyze change independently.
We acknowledge the traditional, ancestral, unceded Indigenous lands where we learn, work, and operate. Primarily based in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal) , we also engage with communities on Indigenous lands across Canada and globally. We honor Indigenous communities, their histories, and their efforts to protect these lands. Valuing Indigenous traditional knowledge is vital for climate action and sustainability in tourism and global events.
Recognizing the erasure of Indigenous histories due to colonization and genocide, we commit to bridging the gap in our understanding through self-reflection, research, and education. We strive to support Indigenous-led projects and foster inclusivity within our organization. We oppose systems of oppression that dispossess Indigenous peoples and deny their rights to self-determination, knowing this work is crucial for global positive impact. Our goal is to empower all communities and individuals systematically excluded when considering legacy and impact.
At our retreat, our team had the honor to attend the Indigenous Learning Centre Enseignement Abénaki, led by Abenaki elders Réjean OBomsawin and Jacinthe Laliberté. It was an amazing experience where we listened to the lived histories and resilience of the Abenaki people. After as a team we reflected on these learnings and how to integrate them into our everyday lives and work. We are grateful for more opportunities to connect with Indigenous communities within our local community and beyond.
