Co-founder
Social innovator who worked in a broad range of fields, from visual and performance arts to the development of standards. He was actively involved in the development of ISO 26000 — Guidance on social responsibility and ISO 20121 — Sustainable events.
He helps organizations find creative solutions to achieve their social responsibility goals. His work focuses on building consensus and managing change in order to maximize organizational outcomes. He’s an aficionado of meditation and fixed-gear biking.

ALEXANDRA DESCOTEAUX
Project assistant
Alexandra is currently pursuing a master's degree in public and international policies at the University of Sherbrooke’s School of applied policies. She worked in different organizations, namely the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations, Doctors of the World Canada and Global Affairs Canada.
Because she's involved in all the projects, she's the hands of #MEET4IMPACT.

MOHAMED REDA KHOMSI
Researcher
Mohamed Reda Khomsi is a professor of Tourism Governance, event management and E-Tourism at the Department of Urban Studies and Tourism in the School of Management at the Université du Québec à Montréal, Canada. Holder of a Phd.D in urban studies, his research focuses on the impact of major events, analysis of the event framework, history of events, smart destinations and governance models.
At #MEET4IMPACT, he is looking for best practices and conditions of success for best impact results.
GENEVIÈVE LECLERC, CMP
President and CEO
Geneviève has 23 years of experience in congress management and consultancy for associations. She works as a facilitator, speaker and trainer with the association meetings industry. She’s passionate about applying design thinking and lean startup practices to accompany organizations through innovation, and her most recent work focuses on achieving greater social impact. When off work, she's an avid sailor who holds a Yachtmaster Offshore certification.
Geneviève is the soul of #MEET4IMPACT, she carries the vision and engages the team along with her.
ALEXANDRA DESCOTEAUX
Project coordinator
Alexandra recently received her master's degree in public and international policies at the University of Sherbrooke’s School of applied policies. She worked in different organizations on international development, human rights and sustainable development matters, namely the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations, Doctors of the World Canada, Global Affairs Canada and the International Society of Limnology.
Because she's involved in all the projects, she's the hands of #MEET4IMPACT.
LYLA JUAN FERNANDEZ AUBIN
Researcher
Graduated from the University of Montreal with an Art and Science bachelor's degree in Asian Studies, Lyla was able to develop multiple knowledge on subjects including history, economics, politics and urbanism. Currently in a Master's degree in tourism development at ESG UQAM, her interests relate to different fields such as events studies, the dynamics between heritage and the tourism phenomenon or the use and integration of ICTs within the tourism industry, more specifically in cultural tours.
At #MEET4IMPACT, under the supervision of Mohamed Reda Khomsi, she is conducting a major worldwide study that will round up the most promising initiatives business events can tap into to measure their social legacy and impact.
CHARLOTTE LAURIN
Researcher
Charlotte is particularly motivated by the acquisition of new skills and the development of existing ones. As one of those who head towards the unknown, she undertook a journey of several years abroad. South America taught her Spanish and Amsterdam introduced her to the professional world of the tourism industry. Fascinated by tourism and its phenomena, she returned to Montreal to complete a master's degree in tourism development at ESG UQAM. She is particularly interested in the events sector and its impacts. She sees #Meet4Impact as an opportunity to develop knowledge on social impact while participating in the development of an organization that has an impact in itself on the industry.

At #MEET4IMPACT, under the supervision of Mohamed Reda Khomsi, she is working to explore the social contribution of the business events industry in times of crisis and why some organizations have a more lasting social impact on their community than others.
FATHMA KHALID
Social Impact Analyst
Fathma is a Social Impact Measurement Consultant, working with businesses and organisations to track and measure the social impact they create. Experienced with methods including Social Return on Investment, Logical Frameworks and Theory of Change, Fathma prioritises understanding the key indicators needed to determine success and building them into a compelling story. She founded Social Impact Reporting, a consultancy that provides practical impact measurement and reporting services.
At #MEET4IMPACT, she is working on creating a bespoke impact measurement framework that best captures and demonstrates the impact created by events.
CANDICE BAUNÉ
Project Assistant
Candice recently received her master’s degree in education from University College London’s department of Education. She has worked as an educator, researcher and content creator for museums, creative and event agencies and as a freelancer. She is driven by wanting to see how much positive change can happen when others are encouraged to connect and are inspired to make a difference.
At #MEET4IMPACT, she is working on creating a portfolio of educational tools, meant to facilitate the work done with our clients to guide them through the creation of positive social impact.
MÉLANIE MARCEAU-DOUVILE
SDGs and Impact Coordinator
Mélanie has 10 years of experience in tourism and in the event industry. ITHQ graduate, she specializes in event conceptualization and project management in Canada and internationally. She believes in the importance of bringing awareness on the social impact in the industry. She wishes to contribute on the knowledge sharing of the subject and the integration of the UN Sustainable Development Goals to encourage a significative change in the field of business events and tourism.
At #MEET4IMPACT, she will contribute to the creation of an educational program on the impact measurement and the SDGs.
ANTOINE MARCHAL
Assessment Coordinator
Antoine graduated from a Bachelor's of Commerce at McGill University with concentration in Data Analytics and Managing for Sustainability. Experienced with data management, data analysis and designing to maximize impact, Antoine is looking to combine his skills to advance impact measurement in the business events industry.

At #MEET4IMPACT, he is working on creating an impact measurement framework that will allow to capture and communicate the impact of business events.
JULY-ANN BAZE
Impact Storyteller and Coordinator
July-Ann recently graduated form Bishop’s university with a BSc. in Biology and a BA in Fine Arts as well as a certificate in Knowledge Mobilization. She strongly believes in a multi-disciplinary approach to problem solving and will be using her diverse skills in critical thinking, graphic design and knowledge mobilization in her position as Impact Storyteller.
She sees #Meet4Impact as an opportunity to contribute to the creation of an SDG impact measurement framework.
SEBASTIEN TURBOT
Board member
Until recently, Sebastien was the Executive Director at the New Cities Foundation, a global non-profit with a mission to shape a better urban world for all by fostering urban innovation and entrepreneurship. He leads global projects on key focus areas including smart cities, urban tech, placemaking, urban wellbeing, urban mobility, artificial intelligence, proptech and urban financing.

Jacob started his career as a developer and since then, he has leveraged his expertise and work ethic in order to lead research and development as Showcare’s CTO. With his background in scientific computing and customer-facing applications, he brings a unique perspective to the design, development, and maintenance of technology. Jacob is committed to continually push the boundaries of innovation when it comes to the development of customized solutions.

With over 10 years of experience in both enterprise and advisory/auditory roles, Amilie currently oversees the financial, operational and business strategy at Showcare. With her business acumen, she is instrumental in supporting the continued growth of the company. She is passionate about contributing to the positive impact that organizations and events can have on their community, ecosystem and environment.

CORINNE GENDRON
Researcher
Corrine is a professor at the Department of social and environmental responsibility at the UQAM’s School of Sciences of management. She is a lawyer, a sociologist and holds an MBA. Among other things, her work addresses the new regulations, social acceptability and the governance systems in the context of globalization. She is a member of the Academy of Technology and received the Legion of Honour (France).

STÉPHANIE JAGOU
#Agent4Impact
Active in the international business environment over the last 21 years, Stéphanie holds a master’s in international business and trade and a post-graduate education in environmental science and sustainability. She has developed curricula and teaches sustainability and circular economy in several institutions and has worked as a sustainability expert over the last 15 years. Enriched by her experience in organizations such as WWF-Canada and JCDecaux, she’s also an entrepreneur who has founded her own organization. She has piloted projects in countries such as Haiti, Costa Rica and France, her native country.
One of Stéphanie’s key expertise lies in managing high-level, multi-stakeholder projects, and she’s keenly interested in initiatives that mesh culture, research, business and sustainability.
She brings a strong technical knowledge to the #MEET4IMPACT team and acts as one of our “Agents4Impact”, our industry social impact pollinators and change agents.
MARTIJN TIMMERMANS
Storyteller
Martijn is a speaker, award winning experience designer, creator of Event Storyboard and partner/consultant at Token.Agency. He is an expert facilitator in storytelling and design thinking techniques. He has been a though leader and creative mind in the international meeting industry for over 10 years. Martijn lives with his family in Amsterdam.
